Hi, I'm Dr. Darnise

I'm Glad You Are Here. Are You Ready To Follow Your Calling? Over the last 15 years I have been helping women recreate themselves into who they really want to be in this life. I work with women who are opening up to the highest vision of themselves, but often get stuck and confused about what that is, how to walk that path, and how to overcome her fear and obstacles along her way. I am a mystic, visionary, trusted advisor and life transformation artist...

When I think about my own awakening and journey, I realize that I have always been a spiritual seeker, student, mystic/teacher. Now as a college professor, scholar of religion, and author, I get to craft my vocation around my metaphysical interests, and my students seem to enjoy it, but I didn’t start out with university teaching in mind. From a young age, I was seeking a meaningful spirituality that went beyond the usual church teachings. My questions propelled me down a rabbit hole that meant I would have to be the one to write the books I wanted to read. I wanted to know about religions and cultures around the world. And, I wanted to know more about Black people’s practices right here in America.

My family comes from Hoodoo country in Georgia. Hoodoo is a southern-based folk spirituality used by African Americans for empowerment and resistance. Before we were Methodists, we knew the use of herbs, rituals, and ordinary natural objects to transform everyday circumstances. Hoodoo is based in African spiritualities and metaphysics. It is ancestor based, and one day my ancestors sent a call for me to awaken and remember them and their old ways. I answered their call, and part of that means teaching and leading others to find their authentic spiritual truth, and find the courage to craft their own way. I rediscovered that our African culture is rich, and we will not throw it away or lose it again.

I began to understand what magic is really about in this quantum universe where thoughts are things, and everything is energy. We’re all magicians of our own lives, we have just forgotten our own, unique power. And, we’ve forgotten that we have a personal connection to the Divine that is always available to empower and enlighten us.

While I keep crystals, candles, and angel cards handy in my spiritual toolkit, I know that all guidance comes from my connection to God. Each of these reminds me of our power to establish our own path, use inspired creativity, and integrate divine wisdom as intuition from the highest source. The more I listen for that divine guidance, the more my life unfolds in positive, empowered ways. It really does begin to feel magical.

I have spent the last 15+ years designing programs and trainings for Spiritually Conscious Women like you. We are at a dynamically new point in human-spiritual consciousness and many of us are ready to manifest our highest potential. As your guide, I am here to help you craft your personal tool kit so that you can dive into your intuitive wisdom, and create the life you know you were meant to live, while feeling authentically and divinely aligned in your purpose. We don’t have to set our spirituality aside, we walk powerfully in it!

I write and teach about the Spiritual Lives of Black Women, if you feel at home with that, then this is your sacred space too.

I invite you to embark on your own quest that is calling to you. When you answer that call, it will completely transform your life. If this is where you are in life, ready to bloom and grow into your journey, I will walk with you illuminating your true path as you go.
